Queridos Amigos:
Les participo of lo que fue mi Exhibition at the galería of Alianza Francesa of Quito. Esta Exhibition tuvo a muy buena concurrencia and me siento feliz of que se haya dado este evento que concierne a mi pintura. by cierto, ustedes estaban a the distancia and by ello les remito esta información a vez que the Exhibition ha finalizado.
Esta Exhibition integró  45 obras producidas básicamente in dos momentos of mi trabajo. of este conjunto, the mitad  fueron  acuarelas que desde hace varios años han venido recorriendo Australia and varios países europeos. the resto estuvo conformado by óleos pintados sobre  lienzo and cáñamo (o arpillera).
Las acuarelas and acrílicos  about cartulina fueron realizados in the década of the 90s, mientras que los  óleos han sido creados básicamente in estos últimos  cuatro años.  the dos series guardan his características propias, amalgamadas bajo a solo tema que es the árbol, of ahí the título of esta exhibition: the Bosque Incesante.

A manera of conclusión puedo afirmar que, in esta mezcla of obras of the dos   secuencias, the público sí  pudo advertir  the cambios acaecidos  in mi pintura. Entonces, the idea of exhibir todo este conglomerado fue  brindar al espectador a visión  más completa of mi creación plástica, in este periodo of tiempo.

Afectuosamente,

Miguel Betancourt

Dear Friends:

I am sharing with you my latest exhibition at the French Alliance in Quito. This exhibition had a very good attendance, was well acclaimed and has given me joy and pleasure. Given that you were away and were unable to attend it personally, I am sending you some information and materials regarding my work in this show.
This exhibition was composed of 45 paintings that were produced in two different moments in time. Half of these works were watercolours painted many years ago and that returned to Ecuador after having been shown in Australia and several European countries. The rest were oil paintings on canvas and hemp.
The watercolours and acrylics over cardboard were painted in the 90s, while the oil paintings were created in the past four years. Both series have common characteristics and motifs such as the tree; hence the name of the show: The Incessant Forest.
As a conclusion, I would like to assert that the public was able to appreciate my artistic development between my art in the 90s and my current work. The idea of presenting this diverse group of paintings was precisely to provide the public with a more holistic vision of the development of my artistic creation during the past decades. I hope you enjoy the materials I am sending you.

With great affection,
Miguel Betancourt
