Les cuento the actividades in the que me he ocupado in estas dos últimas semanas.
Empiezo by contarles que the jueves 17 of febrero acudí a the embajada Norteamericana and allí permanecí a buen segmento of the mañana. Fui invitado by the señora embajadora Heather Hodges a a charla about mi obra, in the hall in donde se encuentra ubicada a bella collection of arte of the dos países. in esta reunión hubo preguntas, fotos, filmación, for culminar with a almuerzo with tan distinguida anfitriona. Esta fue a experiencia muy linda and es of desear que prosigan with esta clase of acercamientos, for the difusión of nuestro arte.
Luego the 24 of febrero tuvo lugar the inauguración of a Exhibition colectiva, in the Alianza Francesa. Esta muestra es muy interesante porque se exhibió obras que pretenden, entre otras cosas, fusionar the arte with objetos of the vida cotidiana.
Estos trabajos “claman by salir of the límites of galería” decía Amparo Ramón, the organizadora and dueña of the Galería Rattanbir. Tuvimos a muy nutrida concurrencia a pesar of the lluvia pertinaz of esa noche. the comentarios by parte of the público and of the prensa fueron halagadores al admirar esas piezas únicas, muchas of ellas with objetos reutilizados, in the cuales the artistas hemos dejado nuestra huella. Creo que esta galería es a alternativa válida, in este mundo signado by the intercomunicación digital.
El pasado fin of semana, in cambio, como for amainar the ajetreos culturales of the días anteriores, estuvimos invitados a casa of the Angioletti, dilectos amigos with quienes venimos compartiendo a amistad desde hace a par of décadas.

Here is an update on my recent activities.
To begin with I was at the American Embassy on February 17th. I was invited by Ambassador Heather Hodges to share a talk about my art in the main hall where my work rests alongside a beautiful art collection of other Ecuadorian and American painters. During this meeting there were questions, pictures, videos, and it ended with lunch in the company of our distinguished host. It was a wonderful experience; hopefully these kinds of activities will continue.
Afterwards, on February 24th we had the opening of a joint art show at the French Alliance. This unique exhibit displayed works that aimed at fusing art with common everyday objects. These pieces “claimed to exceed the limits of the gallery”, said Amparo Ramón, organizer and owner of Rattanbir Gallery. There was a significant group of spectators, despite the heavy rain of the evening. The reception from both the guests, as well as the media was positive and highlighted the unique objects, many constructed with recycled materials, objects that conveyed the artists’ marks. I believe this gallery is a valuable alternative in this world dominated by digital communication.
Finally, as if to dissipate the cultural commotion, last weekend we were invited to the Angioletti’s home. We had a relaxing gathering with our very dear friends with whom we share a long friendship for the past two decades.
